1929-1930 (King Nader Shah)

1930-1974 (End of Monarchy) (King Zaher Shah)

1974-1978 (Beginning of the Republic) (Sardar Mohammad Daoud Khan)

1978-80 (Noor Mohammad Taraki)

1980-87 (Hafizullah Amin/Babrak Karmal)

1987-92 (Dr. Najibullah)

The Flag is White with Islamic Inscriptions.

2001 - 2003 (Afghan Interim Govt.)

We are not sure of the official flag since the government is in its 1st of 3 Phases in creating a democratic government in Afghanistan. The second phase which starts within 6 months from the Bonn meeting in December of 2001. The second phase is decided by the Grand Assembly (Loya Jirga). The third phase and final phase is the elections within 2-3 years from the start of the second phase.
